Most chapters have a section for the high, medium or low maintenance woman and wherever you fall on that spectrum we are still reminded that maintenance is the key. It’s like hair color: For dry feet, exfoliate and moisturize. I don’t think the first thing someone notices about a person should be their eyeglasses. That’s not the answer, because if you have a bad facelift and you look like you had a facelift and your skin is tight and you look like a frozen monkey, you’re going to look old!
Looking unkempt and uncared for are bad.

I actually loved this book and found it quite useful in terms of general maintenance advice however the fact that it was printed in and half the book contains names of recommended products as well as phone numbers and addresses of stores and salons makes this book unfortunately out of date.

You’re probably not beautiful. Mostly because that’s just about laziness and not really a statement about comfort. I’ve seen this book at the bookstore a few times but I was so put off by the title what the hell is wrong with looking old? For many, this information would not be practical.
There were noy lot of good points made throughout the book. Fortunately, mine is a Kindle edition, because that cover photo creeps me out, and ole it saves me the trouble of covering it up with my coat on the bus so I can pretend I’m reading something worthwhile. There were some good pointers in here with photos of “do” and “do not” next to each other and the “do’s” really did look better.
