It’s based on not getting your throat cut. On the one hand, I want to give credit to Eddings for trying to write this. Still good just not great. I would highly recommend these stories to anyone from my mother to my daughter. It’s a true fantasy novel, with knights and magic and battles and the works.

I enjoy smart asses and it seems that every character in this book is one at one point or another. Pawn of Prophecy The Belgariad: You would not understand some of the humour not be able to follow some of the plot if you haven’t read book 1. Although I think the Belgariad is better I thoroughly enjoyed this book. He was flushing the fuel tank of the car with water when he lit a piece of paper and threw into the puddle to test if it was still flammable. I ended up concentrating on the core group of adventurers and glossed over details of who they were speaking to.
