ComiXology Thousands of Digital Comics. I did really like the way the concepts were presented and thought it was a great way to get kids interested in math. It was a funny and interesting book that made my math phobic daughter think of math in a friendlier way.

The find it humorous, and imaginative, as they discover the world beyond the math book. Robert finds himself at the North Wnzensbergerwhere the Number Devil introduces irrational numbers unreasonable numbersas well as aspects of Euclidean geometrysuch as vertices dots and edges lines. Did they think that a devil would scare Italian children, or that it would enrage the Enzensberegr Church? This book could be equally enjoyable to both adults and children and the color illustrations are helpful and artistically appealing.

I’m sure we’ll read it again. Because he was displeased with the zalhenteufel mathematics was taught to students at school, the German author decided to pen a book that teaches mathematics in an innovative way. I just read The Number Devil this summer and am in the process drr asking my school to purchase a class set so I can begin to integrate the chapters into my curriculum.
The book was a hit across Europe, becoming a best seller in at least Spain, Germany,  the Netherlands,  and Italy. Zahlentekfel been giving copies in appropriate languages to children ever since.

Contributed by Sue This book is the best – I am reading it to my 9 year old daughter – one chapter a day and she loves it. A Mathematical Adventure cover. Though I found the math, explanations and diagrams mathematically sound, I did not find the definition of irrational numbers sound.
While it didn’t give me much about fibonacci besides a few interesting little bits about his numbers, I did recall what a great read this was when i was in 6th grade. A Mathematical Adventurebased on the book.
The Number Devil received mostly positive reviews from critics. This is just one work of mathematical fiction from the list.
