Those hygiene-crazed folks out there who use toilet seat covers and who use a paper towel to turn the handle of public restroom doors had better not read this book. I checked it out on Goodreads, and read 1 star review after feuchfgebiete star review calling this book “the worst book ever”.

You cannot help but sympathise with Helen’s family predicament. Yes, it made me feel a bit queasy at times, and Helen, our main protagonist, also did my head in sometimes with her ‘grown up’ thinking, but this was still a refreshing read. I’m passing this book onto every person that I know and I can’t wait to hear what they have to say. Much has been made about how graphic the novel is, and there’s no getting around that.
