Keep in mind, if you are hacjle these for yourself, somewhere close will be just fine. I sometimes use one for sizes I tie infrequently.
I tie my parachutes with normal sized hackle 14 hackle for a 14 hook. I’ve used a few gauges. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior and he will bring the others back. Don’t Feed The Trolls. Plus I know when I’m out of the size I need. You can always use the hook gap as a gauge also. I’ve always heard that parachutes should be about 1 size larger than normal.
FTF has over 12, registered members that have made overposts and have uploaded over 6, patterns to our exclusive fly pattern database! On mine, just a bit longer than gape width. I over-hackle them consciously and seem to do all right.
