And I never had an answer for those readers, because, in my mind, healthy cooking was scratch cooking using raw ingredients and that just takes, well, a decent amount of time. And it was still a few years before this promotional video for the Fast Food Series circulated around Facebook.

Each video is really like a class, with one concept that is repeated over and over to the point where the viewer has it memorized. Here are a few of the key things that I took away from watching:. Add tomatoes, oats, potato, curry powder, garlic powder and garam masala and continue to mash together, changing to stirring with a spoon, until ingredients are incorporated.

My Simple Recipes

Place a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. When pan is nice and hot, lay a few burgers in and cover. Let cook for 3 minutes and flip.

Noovick again and cook for an additional 3 minutes. The burgers should be a little crispy and brown on the top and bottom, but not burned. If burgers are burning, turn heat down a little.

Continue until all burgers are cooked. I am not kidding here folks, you must see these videos. What did you think?

If you can use a can opener and a scissors, you can make a delicious Plant-strong meal. No more excuses about not being able to afford to eat healthy.


I also learned how to make veggie burgers in endless flavor combinations from 5 staple ingredients—again, no trip to the grocery store necessary. These items were already staples in my kitchen.

Much better than a regular potato masher. These Indian spiced potato and pea veggie burgers are great straight out of the pan, but also store wonderfully in the fridge for instant gratification when you need it.
