The main bedroom is large with ten foot ceilings and double aspect windows. A surprisingly spacious cottage, there is a choice of three main seating areas in a comfortable lounge, dining room and bright breakfast area.
The newly fitted kitchen retains its original charm and is properly fully equipped. There is a Nespresso coffee machine and specialty teas are provided.

The bathroom hosts a roll top bath and separate walk-in shower, and there is a separate second toilet. The laundry has a new washing machine and stone sink. Central heating and cooling gives you all year comfort. There is free Wi-Fi, a Welcome Hamper of wine and other goodies on arrival and the Saturday paper is delivered to your door. Children are welcome and there are 2 portacots available, one is a Phil and Ted's.
Also a Mamas and Papas chair, high chair, books, toys and games. The garden is a generous size with lush green grass and has three seating areas in a bricked courtyard, under the veranda and in the shade of the old apple tree.
Secure onsite parking is provided. The Star Cinema, indoor swimming pool, lakes and cycle track are also very close by. All of Bendigo's main attractions are only a short drive away. The cottage is also well situated to access the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, and Atisha Centre of Buddhist teaching and meditation. The attention to detail was much appreciated, from lovely linen, coffee machine, gift hamper, the central heating and the cleanliness was spot on.
Great if you were staying longer and required laundry facilities and a back yard to enjoy once the weather gets a bit warmer Looking forward to going back. The cottage was very cosy and so beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and it was a very relaxing stay. The hamper on arrival was great and Natalie had organised some brochures on galleries and wineries that she knew we were wanting to explore.
The location is only a short drive from Bendigo. The main entrance corner of the park is on the intersection known as Charing Cross, formerly the intersection of two main tram lines now only one. It features a large statue of Queen Victoria. The Charing Cross road junction features the large ornate Alexandra Fountain and is built on top of a wide bridge which spans the viaduct. The park elevates toward Camp Hillwhich features a historic school and former mine poppet head.
Further from the city is Lake Weeroonaa large ornamental lake adjacent to the Bendigo Botanical Gardens, which opened in The gardens are home to many native species of animal including brushtailed and ring-tailed possums, ducks, coots, purple swamphens, microbats small insect eating bats the grey-headed flying fox, several species of lizard, owls and the tawny frogmouth.

The Festival of Light is a multicultural celebration of peace and harmony inspired by the Buddha's birthday held in May each year since at the Great Stupa. The festival's program includes dancing and musical acts followed by a fireworks display at night.
