The results were, yet again, excellent with many outstanding achievements right across the ability range. It was only fitting that the Llanelli Star were on hand to record the excitement and celebration. Staff this year really have gone the extra mile to give the pupils every opportunity to fulfil and in many cases exceed their potential. As a governing body we will continue to support and challenge the staff at the school to ensure that Bryngwyn remains one of the top performing schools in Wales.
These results clearly reflect the high standards of teaching and learning that exist at Bryngwyn School. The competition saw over students from the Swansea Bay area put forward their creative ideas for a business opportunity based on the theme of UK festivals. As part of their preparations to pitch their idea to the judging panel, the team paid a visit to Owens Transport, where they were able to discuss the logistics of kitting out a lorry with washing machines, tumble dryers, etc.
We were extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity to take part and for the help and support given to us by the school and our Business Mentor, Miss Nicola Roberts.

Ffion was put forward to audition for the role by her theatre group, Interact, part of the Stagecoach Charitable Trust. No stranger to the stage, Ffion already had plenty of acting experience after taking on roles in Bryngwyn School productions of Oliver and Schools Will Rock You.
Not only is Ffion a talented actress, but she is also an avid horse-rider and ballerina and has won medals for her flair for dancing. Ffion is now studying Health and Social Care and Cookery at Ammanford College while hoping to continue her acting career. We wish Ffion well for her future.

Looking back now, I am so happy that I chose Bryngwyn because my five years there have been so enjoyable. Right from the very beginning, I loved being at Bryngwyn and I tried to become a member of every club and society the school had to offer. I joined the orchestra, drama club, choir and netball, as well as being Form Captain and a member of the School Council. Being on the School Council revealed to me the importance of pupil voice within the school.
I have many fond memories of my time at Bryngwyn, but one experience I will never forget is playing Scaramouche in the school production of Schools Will Rock You. It took months of dedication from both the pupils and staff to make the production the massive success that it was.
This was a process where I was interviewed by members of Senior Management.
