Cross Country Running

At the end of the season teams and individuals are crowned champions in their various age groups categories. TVH is the most successful club in the history of the league. Metropolitan Cross Country League The metropolitan league is one of the best leagues in the country, currently the league is made up of 22 clubs from Essex, Hertfordshire and Middlesex.

This league is suitable for all athletes from the youngest age group U11s to veterans. The league consists of five races from October to February, usually one each month, on a Saturday afternoon. Everyone that completes their respective race, no matter what position they finish, scores for their club.

These points are calculated after each fixture. After the final fixture the league results are totaled up and the winners are crowned. TVH young athletes have an equally successful record.

Championships Championship events require advance entry, which is organised by the club. Entries have to be submitted about eight weeks before the races. Athletes are advised to tell their team managers that they would like to be entered for any of the events. Race Administration We will be using discs again this year. Please ensure that you record each of your runners finishing position on your sheets and return the discs to us with the completed sheets.

The course is suitable for spikes. It will be almost but not exactly the same as last year's - total 5. It is a two lap course which goes through woods and farm land. It is not suitable for spikes but will be muddy and hilly!!

Car parking will be well signposted and is a little bit of walk from the venue 10 mins maximum. Once you have got to the school please follow sign posts to Sutton Hall where there will be access to toilets and changing areas. We will also retire here for food and tea afterwards. You will not be allowed to wear shoes inside Sutton hall so please just like we do at Tadley be prepared to take off your shoes and DO NOT give any of our marshals grief. We look forward to welcoming you to our event!

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning We will remember them. This year the start and finish will again be at the far end of The Brocas to try and avoid conflict with the swans and residents!

It worked last year. Please note that there is no parking at the venue and very limited parking in Eton.

Cross Country Running – Thames Valley Regional Athletics

You can park near our clubhouse Home Park and walk through to The Brocas or you can use the local car parks - the parking beyond the club house is free on Sundays but please be courteous of other park users. If the rugby is playing a home game it can get very busy and difficult to find spaces. Following several rather irate complaints from residents we will be providing toilets for the race.

Please make use of these or the nearby public toilets Home Park, Alexandra Gardens rather than doing anything in public which may jeopardise the future of the race at this venue.
